Mostafa Shaker

Mostafa Shaker is an actor who started his artistic pursuit in Cairo, Egypt as a theatre actor and on-stage performer. In 2018, Mostafa transitioned from an 8 year career in marketing communications into Film and TV; to pursue his dream of telling stories for global audiences. Growing up in the theatre, he's acted in more than 20 productions both in Canada as well as Egypt. Notable plays include: A Comedy of Tenors, Cats the Musical & Beauty and the Beast. Mostafa has also acted in over 30 independent Canadian projects. His most recent feature premiered in theatres across Canada February 2024. Mostafa had a short film called “One Day This Kid” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.


Mostafa had his first acting experience in Egypt in “Faqret El Saher” series directed by Tamer Mohsen, and recently he was part of the Ramadan series “80 Bako” directed by Kawthar Younis.


If Mostafa isn’t filming, he is playing water polo, painting or exploring different parts of the world.
