Adam Abd El Ghaffar
Born in 1985, Adam Abd El Ghaffar is the founder of Adamic Films & Visual Arts and a former Creative Director at Leo Burnett. His art projects have been exhibited in Egypt, Lebanon, Tunis, and the UK to date. Abd El Ghaffar's career in writing began in 2012 when he published his first short stories collection, Plateau. He then directed several TV commercials before making his way to short films and series.
Abd El Ghaffar’s first short film Shoka w Sekeena (Fork & Knife) won first prize for the Best Script at the El Gouna Film Festival in 2017. It’s worth mentioning that the short film was selected at the Rome Film Festival, Gabes Film Festival, Batroun Film Festival, and Malmo Arab Film Festivals. It was later nominated at the Elia Film Festival for Best Script and Best Director awards and acclaimed Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby won Best Actress for her performance in it.
In 2020, Abd El Ghaffar created and wrote the pan-Arab TV series Nemra Etneen (This Other Thing) (2020) for Shahid Platform, and directed episode 7, titled Akher El Leil (Late Night), himself.
Beyond the set, when Adam’s not writing, he’s probably in the kitchen, unleashing his inner chef! Besides cooking, Adam’s hobbies also include photography and other formats of visual arts.
