Nahed El Sebaie
Nahed El Sebai is an Egyptian actress, born in Cairo, into a family that’s considered one of Egypt’s pioneers in the cinema industry.
Nahed has participated in many films and TV series such as 678 (2010), “The seven commandments” El Sabaa’ Wasaya (2014), “The end” Al Nehaya (2019), 19B (2023), “Black dot” Noqta Soda (2024) among others. She also acted in “Welcome Home” Menawara Be Ahlaha (2022), legendary director Yousry Nasrallah’s debut series.
Nahed’s acclaimed work has garnered her awards and nominations from several prestigious festivals such as Cannes International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Valencia International Festival, Carthage Festival, Luxor Festival for Egyptian and European Cinema, and Cairo International Film Festival, where she won for “A day for women” Youm Lel Sitat.
She participated in the international film “After the Battle” Baad Al Mawkea, which was nominated at Cannes International Film Festival in 2012. Her outstanding performance also earned her the Best Actress in a Second Role award at the 39th Annual Film Association Festival for Egyptian Cinema.
Additionally, she received the Jury Prize from the Asia-Pacific Festival in Australia Not to mention that she won the Second-Best Female Role award from the Foundation of the African Film Festival in Khouribga.
Nahed was also honored with a certificate of appreciation from the jury of the 59th Catholic Center for Egyptian Film Festival, and another presented by the United Nations Foundation for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, in partnership with the Safe Cities Initiative, which aims to end violence against women and girls.
Most recently she was honored and granted the Golden tower for her artistic journey at the opening of the 6th edition of the Cairo International Short Film Festival.
Beyond the set, when Nahed’s not filming, she’s probably spending quality time in her garden – she’s a huge plant lover! You can also find her in a class, but a fun one – tango, pole fitness, aerial hoop, only to name a few of her favs.
